Equipment:
- Pour Over cone
- Pour Over filter paper
- Tablespoon
- Cup
- Kettle
- Scales
Ingredients:
- Pour 15g coffee
- 240ml water
Directions:
- Boil water and let it sit for 30 seconds to "cool off" to around 205°F (96°C).
- Fold the pour over filter paper along the seams and place it in the dripper. Rinse the filter paper with hot water to remove any paper flavor and to preheat the dripper and mug/carafe.
- Grind 15g of coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency and add them to the filter.
- Start the timer and pour 30ml of water over the coffee, making sure all the grounds are saturated evenly. This is called the bloom and allows the coffee to degas.
- After 30 seconds, pour the remaining 220ml of water in a slow and steady stream, in a circular motion, making sure to pour evenly over the coffee grounds.
- Once all the water has dripped through the coffee, remove the filter paper, which should take about 3 minutes.
- Enjoy your delicious cup of freshly brewed coffee!
