MOKA POT

Equipment:
- Moka Pot
- Kitchen scale
- Hot water kettle
- Coffee grinder
- Mug or carafe
- Towel or oven mitten
Ingredients:
- 18g coffee (3.5 tablespoons)
- Water
Directions:
- Boil water and let it cool for a few minutes to reach a temperature of around 200°F (93°C).
- Grind 18 grams of coffee beans to a fine consistency.
- Fill the Moka Pot base with hot water up to just below the safety valve.
- Place the funnel into the base and add the ground coffee, leveling it off with a finger or a chopstick.
- Screw on the top chamber tightly.
- Place the Moka Pot on a stove set to medium heat.
- Use the towel or oven mitt to hold the Moka Pot and give it a gentle swirl after the first bit of coffee starts to emerge.
- When the coffee reaches the bottom of the top chamber, remove the Moka Pot from the heat.
- Pour the coffee into a cup or carafe immediately to prevent over-extraction.
