• FRENCH PRESS

      • French Press
      • Kitchen scale
      • Hot water kettle
      • Coffee grinder
      • Mug or carafe

      Ingredients:

      • 30g coffee (6tablespoons)
      • 500g water

      Directions:

      1. Boil water and let it cool for a few minutes to reach a temperature of around 200°F (93°C).
      2. Grind 30 grams of coffee beans to a coarse consistency.
      3. Add the ground coffee to the French Press.
      4. Pour 60 grams hot water into the French Press and stir gently to make sure all the coffee is wet.
      5. Let the coffee bloom for 30 seconds.
      6. Fill the French Press with 44 grams of hot water.
      7. Place the plunger on top of the French Press but do not press down yet.
      8. Set a timer for 5 minutes and wait.
      9. After 5 minutes, press down the plunger slowly and steadily.
      10. Pour the coffee into a cup or carafe immediately to prevent over-extraction.
