• Equipment:

      • Chemex brewer and filter paper
      • Kitchen scale
      • Hot water kettle
      • Coffee grinder
      • Mug or carafe

      Ingredients:

      • 22g coffee (4.5 tablespoons)
      • 300g water

      Directions:

      1. Boil water and let it cool for 30 seconds to reach a temperature of around 205°F (96°C).
      2. Grind 22 grams of coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency.
      3. Wet the Chemex filter with hot water and discard the water.
      4. Place the Chemex brewer on top of the mug or carafe and add the coffee grounds to the filter.
      5. Start the timer and pour 4 grams of water over the coffee grounds in a circular motion, making sure to saturate all the grounds evenly. Allow it to bloom for 4 seconds.
      6. For the second pour, add 13 grams of water in a slow and steady circular motion, starting from the center and working outward. Stop pouring when the timer hits 1 minute and 3 seconds.
      7. For the third pour, add 13 grams of water in the same way as the second pour, starting from the center and working outward. Stop pouring when the timer hits 3 minutes.
      8. Allow the coffee to finish dripping through the filter, which should take about 4-5 minutes in total.
      9. Remove the Chemex brewer and enjoy your delicious cup of coffee!

Note: Adjust the amount of coffee and water to your desired strength and taste preferences. Additionally, make sure to clean your drip coffee machine regularly to ensure it's working correctly.
